LONG BEACH - The Long Beach Police Department wants your texts, and not the lol variety. New technology purchased earlier this year allows residents to text and e-mail crime tips and - for the first time - allows detectives to send messages with questions back to the tipsters, and all anonymously, officials announced Friday.
