Fifteen St. John Lutheran School kindergarten students could see the Houston kindergartners perfectly Wednesday morning, so they waved at the laptop computer screen. They were desperately hoping that the class 900 miles away could hear them on Skype, a free computer software program that allows video chatting.

"An Israeli company called eXaudios has developed a computer program, known as Magnify, that decodes the human voice to identify a person's emotional state. eXaudios is even testing the software's use in diagnosing medical conditions like autism, schizophrenia, heart disease and even prostate cancer."
